Caves - Upper Lachlan Region

Taralga is the gateway to the Wombeyan Karst Conservation Reserve which protects the enchanting Wombeyan Caves. It is only a 25 minute drive from Taralga through grazing country and the rugged beauty of the short descent into the reserve. There are guided tours of the caves as well as what’s considered the State’s premier self-guided tour of Figtree Cave. If you don’t fancy exploring the caves you can take an easy stroll through the impressive arch or enjoy watching the wild kangaroos grazing on the reserve.
